Cernik is widely respected across the Mid-Atlantic real estate industry and brings deep expertise in compliance, supervision, leadership development, and brokerage operations. Known for her agent-centered approach and steady leadership style, she adds meaningful depth to Monument Sotheby’s International Realty’s supervisory and growth infrastructure.
As the company approaches 300 agents across multiple marketplaces, the addition of a Managing Broker reflects a deliberate expansion of leadership designed to support scale while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, compliance, and brand integrity.

About Jennifer Cernik
A Maryland native raised in Howard County by boutique broker parents, Cernik brings a lifelong connection to real estate rooted in both professional rigor and relationship-building. After graduating from Villa Julie College, she made Baltimore her home and became an integral part of the region’s real estate community.
Cernik was a member of the founding leadership team at Next Step Realty, where she played a key role in developing operational systems, compliance protocols, and agent development frameworks. She is licensed in Maryland, Washington, D.C., Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Delaware, offering broad multi-jurisdictional expertise that enhances Monument Sotheby’s International Realty’s ability to support agents operating across the Mid-Atlantic.
She is also actively engaged in industry leadership and currently serves as Vice President of the Greater Baltimore Board of REALTORS®, contributing valuable insight, advocacy experience, and governance perspective.
