Monument Sotheby’s International Realty Welcomes Ariana Loucas
The culture of Monument Sotheby’s International Realty is defined by its PEOPLE; A collaboration of exceptional global real estate advisors who provide personalized service, local expertise, and unparalleled worldwide exposure. We are pleased to welcome Ariana Loucas.
Ariana Loucas was born and raised in Baltimore. She now resides south of Baltimore in a water-oriented community in the D.C. Metro Area where she services clients in Northern Virginia, Maryland, and D.C. In her early years, Ariana attended college to pursue a law degree. Her undergraduate major began with Political Science at UMBC. After her freshman year, she transferred to the University of Maryland Global Campus in a Pre-Law program where was exposed to various areas of law (Contracts, Real Estate, Business, Bankruptcy, Consumer Protection, and more). In the end, Ariana realized while she had a passion for law, she was more in love with the idea of having a Juris Doctorate degree than she was becoming an attorney. Nonetheless, the introduction to these specific law categories became priceless knowledge for her when she entered the Real Estate profession.
Outside of her education and prior to becoming a REALTOR®, Ariana was a successful part of Corporate America working in the sales, training, and services departments for major telecom, marketing, and mortgage companies. Who knew that between her original goals to practice law, and the corporate training she had, when you blended everything together that she would become an award-winning, 5-star rated REALTOR in D.C., Maryland, and Virginia? At her previous firm, Ariana was the founding member of their Sports and Entertainment Division in Metro D.C. This department catered to the real estate needs of athletes, and film or television personalities. As evidenced by her many testimonials, Ariana is committed to helping everyone with real estate, regardless of price point, but if you fall under the S & E clientele category, she has brought her Sports and Entertainment niche with her to Sotheby’s.
In her personal life, Ariana has four-legged kids; a rottweiler, and a bullmastiff. She loves children though and is active in charitable causes supporting children and animals. During her downtime, she likes to attend comedy shows, go swimming, boating, and travel to places with clear blue water and palm trees. If the hurricanes don’t scare her away, Ariana’s goal is to retire to an island one day, or even move her business to one before she hangs up her heels for flip-flops. As an only child though, her parents claim to have notified the border police that such a move by her is forbidden until they are “dead and gone” as her mother says.

Monument Sotheby’s International Realty Welcomes Bryan Gleason
The culture of Monument Sotheby’s International Realty is defined by its PEOPLE; A collaboration of exceptional global real estate advisors who provide personalized service, local expertise, and unparalleled worldwide exposure. We are pleased to welcome Bryan Gleason.
Bryan Gleason grew up in a small town outside Philadelphia in his family’s third generation circa 1892 historic hotel and restaurant. After over fifty years of ownership, the family decided it was time to sell. Bryan took on the arduous task of running the family business until an appropriate buyer was found. Three years and four real estate companies later, only by luck, a buyer was finally found.
The initial idea of creating his team was planted through his experience trying to sell his family’s special historic property and the industry’s lack of expertise in marketing unique historic real estate.
Bryan relocated to Washington D.C. and spent the next several years learning everything he could about real estate. He earned his real estate licenses in D.C., Virginia, and Maryland and became trained in Historic Real Estate by the Historic Trust for Historic Preservation. During this time, he also served as a Real Estate consultant for historic societies and local land trusts. In 2006 Bryan developed and launched American Lands which quickly became a national resource for historic and other unique properties.
Bryan continues to educate himself by attending training and conferences for historic and unique real estate. Today Bryan is known as a top resource in marketing historic and unique luxury real estate.
Bryan earned his Maryland and D.C. broker licenses and served as a managing broker for real estate offices in the D.C., Anne Arundel, and Baltimore markets.

Monument Sotheby’s International Realty Welcomes Tom Craten.
The culture of Monument Sotheby’s International Realty is defined by its PEOPLE; A collaboration of exceptional global real estate advisors who provide personalized service, local expertise, and unparalleled worldwide exposure. We are pleased to welcome Tom Craten.
A Baltimore boy through and through, Tom graduated from Polytechnic Institute, earned his Associate’s degree from the Community College of Baltimore, and his B.S. from Towson State College. After four years with the Army Corps of Engineers, Real Estate Division, he joined up with two partners in New York to revitalize the historic Saint George Theatre in Staten Island.
After returning to Baltimore, he started his career in residential real estate with Chase, Fitzgerald & Davis in Roland Park, and later affiliated with W.H.C. Wilson & Co, where he was made partner in 1991.
Early on, Tom was recruited by Northeast, Inc, a non-profit that was established to combat and correct the damage created by the unscrupulous practice of ‘block busting’ in northeast Baltimore in the 1960s. Tom and his fellow volunteers traveled throughout the Baltimore Metro area, conducting seminars to prospective homebuyers and renters, espousing affordable neighborhood options, and highlighting the advantages of homeownership and the economics and importance of wealth building.
Tom now has over 45 years of experience in the Baltimore Metro market, evolving with the times from couriers, pink message slips, phone booths, and two-page Contracts, to the internet, electronic signing, pocket ‘do everything’ gadgets, and forty-page Contracts. What has not changed is Tom’s steadfast belief that for now, Artificial Intelligence (AI) cannot replace the emotional IQ of a good Realtor, who coaches consumers through the buying and selling process – and that no robot has yet figured out how to interpret a smile, analyze a worried look, or offer empathy to a nervous buyer or seller. It’s why he came to be drawn to Monument Sotheby’s International Realty – a company in his view focused on building relationships and exercising a collaborative culture within its offices, rather than defaulting to everything transactional.
As an Associate Broker, Tom has earned several industry certifications and production awards, and because of his early focus on understanding real property valuation, he took the initiative to complete university coursework in appraising and later completed Gilbert D. Marsiglia’s revered appraising workshops. More than anyone, Tom credits Gil for his own proficiency in property valuation.
Free time activities include walks in state parks, travels with his partner, Jane, photojournalism, extensive reading and writing, and most importantly, maintaining close relationships with his daughter Sarah, in Colorado, and his son Adam, who along with his wife Holly, are raising grandsons Arlo and Elam, as future homesteading farmers in West Virginia.
