ARTIST STATEMENT:
My work is inspired by the way dreams tell stories—where each moment unfolds outside of logic into a world that we couldn’t conjure in waking life.
Each piece aims to capture a single moment, built through layers of symbolism, a mix of influences, and sometimes deliberately clashing cultural artifacts.
A painting feels finished when for me, standing in front of it, time seems to slow down just a little—when the moment feels suspended, detached from its origins, quiet, and timeless.
BIO:
I am a designer and painter from Baltimore. After receiving my BFA in Illustration and Graphic Communications from WashU in St.Louis, I traveled widely, working as a designer and illustrator in Chicago, Philadelphia, Madison, Italy, and the Czech Republic, before settling back in Baltimore in 2001. Since then, I have worked as a Creative Director in digital design and as a painter.
