Monument Sotheby’s International Realty Welcomes Cindy Conklin

The culture of Monument Sotheby’s International Realty is defined by its PEOPLE; A collaboration of exceptional global real estate advisors who provide personalized service, local expertise and unparalleled worldwide exposure. We are pleased to welcome Cindy Conklin.

A Baltimore native since before her first birthday, Cindy graduated from Roland Park Country School and went on to Dickinson College where she received her B.A. in Economics.  After five years working for T. Rowe Price in the retirement planning group, she started a new career in residential real estate in 1985 which dovetailed with her husband’s real estate career.  Cindy and Bob Merbler worked as highly successful business partners for over two decades.  During that time Cindy won top production awards annually and was named one of the 100 most influential Marylanders by the Daily Record.

While her accomplishments are many, she is most proud of the number of her colleagues she helped to mentor through the years.  Cindy believes that giving back to one’s community is a gift that works both ways. Cindy’s most recent accomplishment was the Waterfront Partnership Skate Deck project which combined her love of local artists and activities for Baltimore City children and teens.

Dedicated to historic preservation, Cindy is serving on the Maryland House and Garden Pilgrimage Committee, which will be highlighting the Federal Hill Historic District in May 2023. She has also served as a Commissioner for the Commission for Historic and Architectural Preservation (CHAP) for seven years.

Drawn to the strength of Monument Sotheby’s International Realty brand recognition, marketing resources, and support, she is looking forward to partnering on new marketing initiatives.  Extremely loyal to her clients, she has always considered her approach to real estate based on relationships rather than transactional.

Free time activities include bike riding in Dewey Beach, traveling with her husband Bob, and spending time with their grown children Tyler and Casey Merbler.
