Monument Sotheby’s International Realty Welcomes The Lacovara Group

Kelly Knock, Tracey Clark, Avendui Lacovara and Julia Martin Frazier of the Lacovara Group

March 18, 2019 – Monument Sotheby’s International Realty is pleased to welcome the Lacovara Group to the company’s Roland Park office. The quality, distinction, and impeccable artistic standards embodied by the Sotheby’s International Realty name are precisely the qualities and priorities that drew the real estate professionals of the Lacovara Group together.

In addition to a wealth of experience in residential and commercial sales, each member of the Lacovara Group brings a specific knowledge and practice of design, visual and performing art, or architectural mastery.

“With a strong sense of business acumen, and deep knowledge of the Baltimore real estate market, it is this artistic sentiment that guides the group’s approach, and truly sets these agents apart,” says Kimberly Kepnes, Vice President of Development at Monument Sotheby’s International Realty.

As group leader, Avendui Lacovara, a native of Baltimore, brings her experience as Art Curator for personal collectors and Fortune 500 companies in New York to her current and well-established real estate business.

“I feel like I’m curating all the time,” smiles Avendui, “I’m taking impressions and matching homes and styles along the interests of discerning buyers just like I would a million-dollar painting for a billion-dollar company. And this move to Sotheby’s feels like I’m coming home all over again.” A mother of two college age sons, Avendui can be found enjoying date nights shouting with her husband at a CAPs home game, enjoying evenings at the BMA, reading a good book and attending church.

Tracey Clark has developed a career around buildings and the people who love and live in them. Since moving from Washington, DC to Baltimore in 2003, her life has centered around the architecture of Baltimore. Tracey founded an architectural antiques company, co-authored a book on Baltimore architecture “Baltimore Architecture: Then & Now,” and renovated several historic homes. Tracey has a deep knowledge of Baltimore’s many neighborhoods and the incentives available to them. She particularly enjoys helping people find architecturally significant spaces and has experience selling both residential and commercial properties in the Baltimore region. Tracey lives in Guilford with her husband (an architect) and their son.

Julia Martin Frazier, a Baltimore City resident of 23 years, came to the area to study Harp Performance at the Peabody Conservatory after studying Music and Art History at Oberlin College in Ohio. After years of a satisfying and prolific career in harp performance, Julia has made her passion for homes, and helping people find them, a full time career. With a keen ability to match homes with new owners, and a caring and guiding hand in helping to prepare a home for selling, Julia’s tenacious approach to making the process go smoothly ends in results, and success for buyers and sellers alike. Julia can still occasionally be spotted around town with her harp, when not wrangling her two young boys.

Hailing from a family of interior decorators and Navy pilots (six!), Kelly learned the importance of creativity alongside a meticulous mindset. These two balanced principles guided Kelly as she built a career in branding over 14 years. Kelly moved to Baltimore from Atlanta in 2008 where she worked in Trademark Licensing for The Coca-Cola Company. After a quick stint at a Baltimore ad agency, Kelly joined Under Armour where she worked in various roles over seven years with a focus on building the Brand Licensing division and brokering deals such as Lucas Films and Muhammad Ali.

Kelly’s background as a visionary relationship manager within variegated contexts makes for a solid foundation negotiating and overseeing real estate deals. When it comes to telling the stories of clients’ homes and prepping them for the greater market, Kelly’s unyielding eye for brand standards and her family exposure to interiors provide her clients an elevated level of service. Kelly enjoys spending time with her littles… She and her husband, Darrell, reside in a 120 year old Victorian in historic Bolton Hill with their son, Wolfe, and daughter, Greta. Originally from the Florida panhandle’s Gulf Coast, Kelly has enjoyed transitioning to the Chesapeake Bay. Although she still yearns for fresh Gulf shrimp, she is still happy to eat Maryland crab.

The Lacovara Group is looking forward to blending the company’s exclusive resources and branding with their long-standing practice of providing unparalleled personalized service. This move to their “new home” solidifies their commitment to providing exceptional service to all their clients.
