Malinda Hatch | Monument Sotheby’s International Realty I Art Gallery Event
October 1 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Please join us on Thursday, October 1st, from 4-6 pm at our Village of Cross Keys Office & Gallery to enjoy the work of Malinda Hatch.
Artist Statement
Malinda Hatch sees her love of painting as a conversation between herself, her feelings, and her memories.
Through painting, she explores the colors and textures of the natural world while connecting to memories of the people, places, and things she loves. She seeks to express an essence of being that she finds difficult to articulate in words. For Malinda, Painting and music both feel like alternatives to words for sharing inner life.
Most of her work has been in oils, drawing, and watercolor, as well as sculpture and landscape design. She is drawn to watercolor for its luminosity and for the challenge of the subtractive thinking required in its application. Still-life subjects and photographs she has taken herself often serve as references for her work.
Biography
Malinda Hatch is a painter living and working in Baltimore County, Maryland. She is a graduate of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, where she earned a diploma in painting.

She is currently a full-time painter.
