Janice is a native of western Howard County and has strong roots in the community as many of her friends and their families still reside there. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland and attended graduate studies at Johns Hopkins University – Whiting School of Engineering. She began her career as a software engineer at Westinghouse Electric Corporation developing software for airborne radar systems utilized by the United States Air Force.
She became involved in real estate investments in order to spend more time at home following the birth of her first daughter. Acting as an investor, she has over 15 years of experience in purchasing, renovating, and selling homes in various counties across the state of Maryland. She particularly enjoys the design process of the renovation which allows her creativity and love of interior design to shine. In addition, Janice has experience in leasing residential and commercial properties and owns several rental properties, one of which is a historic property in Westminster that is currently under renovation.
Janice now resides in Carroll County in a turn of the century Queen Anne Victorian which is listed in the Maryland Inventory of Historic Properties and was featured in the Sykesville Christmas Historic Home Tour for several years. When Janice is not busy with real estate, she enjoys spending time with her daughters Meg, Audrey, and Jaclyn and her German Sheprador, Joy.
